The Reason Why: More Than Wine

Arbitrary. Something that is chosen by or determined by chance, whim or impulse as opposed to reason or principle. 

Why would someone buy this wine? 

Its more than wine. This vineyard is an idea. Its a culmination of intertwined destiny and combined life force and thoughts of many people. 

The die was cast for us — We are these places and these things we do. In the absence of this vineyard wines have been and will continue to be brought into existence; and although they emanate from our experience, sacrifice and daily carefulness none of them have been or will be our true voice. If not for this project true voice may never be heard.

This vineyard is a place where we can put our voices, our hard work, our opinions, our experiences, our thoughtfulness — our destiny; that would otherwise move silently thought the world largely unnoticed, however, beautifully poignant that might be — I as the leader of my organization have the audacity to believe this work, this sacrifice, this experience shouldn’t go unnoticed, unrewarded or unheard.

This vineyard allows me to take all these things we are and concentrate it into a singular thing. — At a time — when the world needs the most authenticity, a connection to the land, the people — nature. 

The proceeds of this vineyard will be used to support the people who I am speaking with in this world. The families who have devoted their lives to our work. The success of this project means health insurance for all the families who work for us. It means scholarships for their children as they grow up. It means the flexibility to support them when they need as ‘life happens’. 

This vineyard is our Oeuvre

This vineyard is a poet — each wine a poem. 

The poet has a long conversation with nature, listening patiently for the possibilities, the rules. Trying them out; attention, perceptions… patience.
